SUGAR 2017

Statler User Group and Representatives Convention

The Statler Users Group And Representatives (SUGAR) Board is pleased to announce that the next SUGAR Conference will be held in Kansas City, MO June 22-24, 2017. The theme for the 2017 SUGAR Conference will be “Quilter’s Rhapsody!” The SUGAR Conference will be held again at the Holiday Inn KCI & KCI Expo Center, just a five-minute drive from the Kansas City International Airport. “This venue was fantastic for our 2015 conference, and the proximity to the airport is very convenient for our international attendees coming in from all parts of the globe. We are looking forward to another successful conference!” says SUGAR Conference Manager, Jennifer Pond.

The SUGAR Conference is an educational conference specifically dedicated to specialized training for Statler® owners. Statler by Gammill® is a high-tech, computerized longarm quilting machine made by Gammill Quilting Systems, out of West Plains, MO. These machines are different from other longarm quilting machines because they are operated by computer software and hardware capable of stitching almost any design.

As always, the SUGAR Conference will offer three days of classes for every level of quilter (beginners to experienced) by professional Statler® instructors, a quilt competition specifically for Statler® quilters, as well as a stunning display of machine-quilted quilts and special exhibits, a vendor mall of quilting-related products, and much more – culminating with a catered banquet and guest entertainment. "The SUGAR organization is dedicated to providing pertinent classes for Statler® users and a forum for socialization and education. We feel there is a real need for classes specific to Statler® machines and networking among Statler® owners, and the purpose of this conference is to meet that need," says SUGAR Conference Committee Chair, Georgia Stull.  "
